As long as you don't want US and 7.24 to talk to the same dbspaces there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure that the server numbers are different ( ONCONFIG: SERVERNUM ) as this is used to calculate the shared memory address during initialisation. Also, make sure that the SQLHOSTS files in both areas have different entries using different service numbers, keeping them completely separate. As far as kernel configs go I'm not to sure ( I usually work on AIX ), sorry. Hope this helps !!
