The ROM tools include an SQL Editor. In the SQL Editor, use File|Open to
load my_sql_file.sql

Subject: NT (db)access to solaris server
Howdy...
I've got an Informix 7.23 Solaris version installed.
I want to load a file into it from the command line, using the likes of
dbaccess my_db@my_server - < my_sql_file.sql
The catch is, I want to do it from NT. DBAccess doesn't exist on NT,
because
I have not (and don't intend to) installed the NT Informix server. Also,
it's
been rumoured
that DBAccess.exe on NT cannot connect to a Solaris Informix server
anyway. So.
1. Can a windows version of DBAccess connect to a non-windows
Informix
server and load,
via the command line, an sql file?
2. If (1), how do I installed DBAccess without installing the entire
Informix server on NT?
I've installed Informix-CLI, -ESQL/C, -NET, -CONNECT, and even the ROM
admin
tools. No DBAccess there.
Thanks in advance for any help.
