ascii char conversion

IDS 10.00.FC9 on HPUX B.11.23 (11iv2) Itanium server Just making sure I'm not overlooking something on IDS 10; there is no built in function in sql to convert between ascii and character, like ascii() & char()/chr(). You would have to write your own or use the ascii package on the iiug software repository. Do I got this correct? John
There is an ASCII() function but no equivalent of the Basic CHR() function, no. > select ascii('A') from systables where tabid = 1; (constant) 65 1 row(s) retrieved. Art Art S.
