Missing Informix shared libraries?

Hello all, I have been running HP-UX 10.10 and Informix 7.13.UC5, but recently installed Informix 7.23.UC7 on our development machine. The engine comes online no problem, but the application that worked before, crashes with the Informix 7.23.UC7. The error I get is the application cannot find shared library in $INFORMIXDIR/lib. I then compared the lib directory with older version and some of the shared libraries are missing. Some of the ones missing were libasf.sl, esql/libos.sl, but the archived libraries of these missing shared libraries exist.(ie. libasf.a and esql/libos.a are present.) Can anyone give me any hints why some of the *.sl files are missing the Informix 7.23.UC7? Will copy the old *.sl files from Informix 7.13.UC5 to Informix 7.23.UC7 corrupt the Informix engine and/or have any negative long term affects? The application I am trying to run is written in C++ and compiled using Informix 7.13.UC5. Could this potentially be the problem?
