For IDS 7.xx you can use the ALARMPROGRAM to backup to disk, renaming
the output file, as each log file completes then have a cron job sweep
then to tape periodically or just let the nightly backup pick the files
up. I submitted ksh and binary ALARMPROGRAM handlers to do this to the
IIUG Software Repository as utils3_ak.shar. Informix supplies a
script, log_full.sh to do this directly to tape using onbar.
