Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Has anyone came across this issue.
When I first setup my RSS instance and turn it on "onmode -d RSS {primary}"
it takes a long time to apply the logical logs from the primary (2 minutes
per logical log) while the primary is generating a logical log every 30
seconds.
I also notice on the primary that the "Log transmission status" is "Blocked"
most of the time, it does show "Active" but is mostly in "Blocked" status.
When it is in "Active" status then the logical logs on the secondary show
activity increasing in % used.
The problem is that it will never catch up for us since the logical logs are
filling at a rate of 1 - 50 mg logical log every 30 seconds, so as long as
"Approximate Log Page Backlog" is greater than 1024 it keeps falling behind.
NOTE: when the "Approximate Log Page Backlog" is 0 and filling of a 50 mg
logical log occurs every 30 seconds it keeps up and applies it on the RSS
instance, but once the RSS instance goes down and restarts, then the
"Approximate Log Page Backlog" continues to increase and does not keep up.
Also I noticed that from the "onstat -g ath" output the SMX threads show the
following:
The smxrcv thread goes from "sleeping secs:61" - "sleeping
secs:11" down each second to "sleeping secs:1" before restarting (NOTE when
the "Active" appears for "Log transmission status" it is after approximately
10 seconds.
The smxsnd thread continuously shows "cond wait smx pipe1"
I also see the value increasing for "onstat -g rss {RSS instance}" in the
column Tossed LBC/FULL.
I've been told by IBM that this is the way it is and there is nothing that
you can do to change the behavior. It just does not make sense.
