Not on the parent of the 'sqlexec' process? Are you sure it rolls back
properly doing this?

I think you mean 'bcheck -y'. Try this twice (second time to see if table
is REALLY mended). If that doesn't work, create the schema with 'dbschema',
unload, drop, recreate, reload & reindex the table. If the table is of
any size, turn off transaction logging first by updating 'tabtype' for
the 'syslog' row in 'systables' to 'z' (a value Informix doesn't understand).
