Informix DS 7.3 on Solaris 2.6: unable to install

Hello! I am doing installation of Informix DS 7.3 on Sun Solaris 2.6.. At first glance the installation scripts went with no errors reported, but when I try to issue any of Informix utilities I get the error: Invalid serial number. Please consult the Installation Instructions. I placed $INFORMIXDIR/bin at the first place in my PATH variable, as suggested by Installation Guide, chap. Access Problems After Installation, p.19..
