Art Kagel's myexport, utils2_ak

Good Afternoon Everyone! I have recently installed the newest version of myexport to take advantage of the ability to use external tables for backup. When I did that, I was getting an error with myschema causing myexport to fail. So, I downloaded and installed the newest version of utils2_ak, with a newer version of myschema. After doing that, I noticed that I would need a newer version of the Informix CSDK for it to run properly, so I installed the newest CSDK (3.7). When I try to run myexport now, I get this error: command: myexport dbase -m -u -o /directory error: /opt/informix/bin/myexport: line 309: 8671: Memory fault Myschema failed, code: 267 When I take out the myschema command that myexport is running and try to run it manually, I get this error: command: myschema -q -d dbase -l -U=/directory/dbase.exp/dbase3.sql /directory/dbase.exp/dbase.sql /directory/dbase.exp/dbase2.sql error: Segmentation fault I am running Ubuntu 2.6.32. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Richard Guffey
I'm running the same Linux as you are:

Run these commands and compare the results. Let me know if there are any
differences:

Worst comes to worst I can send you executables since we are running the

Art, I'm running 2.6.32-41-generic #90-Ubuntu SMP Tue May 22 11:31:25 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux The difference I see between your output and mine are in the gcc -v. Wherever yours states x86_64-linux-gnu My system states i486-linux-gnu Which I'm thinking is probably a big deal...yes? Are the new versions of myexport and utils2_ak only suitable for 64 bit systems? -Richard
They should be 32bit safe, though the last time I compiled them for a 32bit Linux was several years and many revisions ago. Try running yours again with "-v3" set and send me the output directly. No need to post all of that to the list. Art Art S.
