Thanks Guys,
Installed CSDK, bit of configuring and all is now fine, I can see the engine
from the app server with just 4GL and CSDK installed.

You should only need I4GL on the box - it includes what is needed from CSDK. You would have to set up the sqlhosts file, of course, but that's all.
