Running truss against it shows that it 116,000 calls out of 126,000 are reading $ONCONFIG one character at a time!! sagent + the ICC have been rewriten in 7.30, hence bug no longer applies... I found it was consuming 1 second out of 5 on the CPU even when not connected to an Online instance. (This was 7.20.UC2 workgroup server when I had built my own instance by hand after the install). -- David Williams Maintainer of the Informix FAQ Primary site (Beta Version) http://www.smooth1.demon.co.uk Official site http://www.iiug.org/techinfo/faq/faq_top.html I see you standin', Standin' on your own, It's such a lonely place for you, For you to be If you need a shoulder, Or if you need a friend, I'll be here standing, Until the bitter end...
