Re: WWW interface to db

Have a look at the Illustra product from Informix. In Illustra all the coding has already been done for you. You just create the HTML pages and put them in the database. These HTML pages can contain embedded SQL to look up details from the Illustra database or from a connected Informix, Oracle or Sybase database and populate your HTML page on the fly. It also provides an NSAPI interface if you are using a Netscape Web Server. It's also has many other useful features for web development such as 2D spatial mapping, text search engines, etc. Alternatively the new Netscape Web Servers are coming out with similar ability to embed SQL in HTML pages had have the web server populate them from the database. You also get a copy of an Informix database engine as part of this new release. All for around $1000.
