INFORMIX TO PROVIDE INFORMIX-ONLINE DYNAMIC SERVER 7.1 FOR SCO OPENSERVER RELEASE 5 New York, NY (May 9, 1995) -- Informix Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:IFMX), the leader in parallel processing database technology, and SCO, today announced that Informix will provide INFORMIX(R)-OnLine Dynamic Server(TM) version 7.1 for SCO OpenServer Release 5, SCO's next-generation Business Critical Server. Both products are designed to exploit the power of Symmetric Multiprocessor (SMP) hardware by performing nearly all major processing activities in parallel -- resulting in dramatic increases in performance, availability and scalability. OnLine Dynamic Server 7.1 for OpenServer Release 5 is currently scheduled for availability during Q3, 1995.
