Well, I guess we were a little to optimistic! The IDS 7.3 UD7 (Pre-Release) was installed but we still are getting the "build" error messages. All utilities seem to still work correctly, but cannot be guarenteed due to the errno messages! UD7 added support for GLIBC 2.1, RHES 3.0 is at 2.3. I dont think it would even be "supported" under RH9, I am not sure what GLIBC Libraries come with that installation. Back to the drawing board for now........... Kelly

We installed 9.4 on RHES 2.1 without any problems (not on 3.0 - don't use anything with the zero at the end....). Also installation on Suse 9.0 Pro worked just fine. Would your application run with IDS 9.x or on Suse? Michael
