Restoring archive without logical logs

Does anyone know how to restore a level 0 archive without the logical logs and without patching the rootdbs ??? We had this problem on our HP9000 K200 running DSA 7.12, and we tortured the engineer from Informix until he patched the rootdbs so that we could go on-line without restoring the logical logs (we hadn't saved'em all the way). Note that there is no mention about the 'compulsarity' of continuously saving the logical logs in the DSA administrator guide... Valery FOUQUES, GOSPORT, FRANCE
