HDR Information

I'm getting ready to start working on setting up HDR and have gone searching google for information about doing so. There seems to be a wealth of it out there, but I'm wondering if there is one in particular that would be classified as " the best ". Hi Jonathon, The best source of HDR setup info would depend what your objective with HDR would include. In my environment, HDR under 11.50 would help with load distribution, so having several servers setup as updatable HDR secondaries would be the most ideal. Several things are needed to accomplish that, but it's very doable. If you're object is simply a stand-by secondary for D.R. purposes (either Hot standby or offline secondary) would be a simpler scenario. Most of the documentation I have used to setup and configure HDR came from the IBM Information-On-Demand conference in the Hands On Lab handouts. I liked the step-by-step instructions IBM provided for various HDR application. Just my 2 cents. The best source is the Administrators' Guide manual, really. Setting up HDR is really rather simple. The hard part is working out and testing your failover and recovery procedures. Art Art S.
