Next extent size could be the culprit. Run this :- select tabname, fextsize, nextns, nextsiz from yourdatabase:systables a, sysmaster:sysptnhdr b where tabid > 99 and a.partnum = b.partnum order by nextsiz desc will show you the next extent size of the tables.
