EMERGENCY: restore using "ontape -r" generates error
The following error appears after the question "Do you want to back up the
logs?"
oninit: Fatal error in shared memory creation.
Background: I have used this command before to do a complete cold restore of
the database. The one suspect event in the recent past which may account for
this trouble is I have recently installed I-Connect. I am currently using
7.31 of the Informix Dynamic Server on HPUX. I need to try to resolve this
problem before the start of the buisness weed on Monday morning.

What happened that has required you to perform a cold restore?

I'd stay off this at least until you get your system back.
