CRON and INFORMIX-4GL

I need to run a 4GL job under the control of cron. When I did this, INFORMIX dumped a message to my log saying "Install an INFORMIX RUN-TIME product and run this job again". I couldn't find a listing of this error message anywhere (there was no message number associated with it), and I searched through the On Line Administrator's Guide for any guidance about cron jobs, but found nothing. My cron entry invokes my .cshrc, setting all the proper INFORMIX variables, and the OnLine engine is up and running (Version 5.01, Unix/SunOS 4.1.3). Does anyone have any suggestions?
