Transaction log files in a SE database

Hi, I was browsing through the manual and saw the "START DATABASE" sql command. It says there that if you put a filename, that filename will be the transaction log. I have two questions about the transaction log file. 1. Does the transaction log file record the unload and load statements or just the insert/delete/update statements? (We do full unload of all tables every night) 2. After creating a transaction log file and deciding later we don't want it anymore, would this work the same way as if we didn't have any transaction log file to begin with? START DATABASE xyz WITH LOG IN "/dev/null" We're using SE, R4GL, ver 6 on Unix. Pls. post or email. Thanks! John -- - J -
