NT ASP/ADO ODBC to SCO UNIX Informix problem

VERY BASIC SCENARIO We're trying to connect to a Unix database from NT, and tie it into an ASP-based web site. SOME DETAIL We're trying to connect to an Informix database on SCO (Santa Cruz Operation) Unix from IIS (Internet Information Server) on an NT 4.0 Server via ASP (Active Server Pages) and the ADO (Active Data Object). We're using SCO's ODBC driver, and have been able to see the database from the NT machine, using a tool that comes with the driver; this is good. We get OLE DB error message when we try to connect via ASP/ADO; this is bad. The machines are off-site; this is also bad. SPECIFICS NT 4.0 (not sure what service pack; assume 3) ''' IIS 3 ''' ASP (downloaded from Microsoft and installed on 9/9/97) ''' ADO ''' SCO SQL Retriever 4.1 SCO Unix Openserver 5.0.4 ''' Informix DSA (Dynamic Server Architecture) 7.2 These machines are correctly configured to talk to each other via TCP/IP. The SCO SQL Retriever ODBC driver appears to be working, based on positive signs from a built-in tool (can see the tables in the Informix db from a simple SQL tool). When we try to connect from an ASP page, we get this: ''''''''''' Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' ''''''''''' Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114 (SCO Vision ODBC). ''''''''''' members/default.asp, line 9 HELP! I've scoured the web, usenet, and knowledge bases to no avail; any help or related experience insights would be much appreciated. I'm guessing that we'll just end up needing try a different provider's ODBC driver....
