Storage Computer first had a RAID 3 prototype : operating back in 1984, then RAID 4 and 5, and has been working : continuously to make major performance enhancements to RAIDs since that : date. We have lots of technical information on the architecture, : including whitepapers. : What RAID levels might AT&T GIS be offering now that Rick Miller has sold : off their NCR RAID division to Hyundai? : Michael Willett, EE : Storage Computer Corp. : 11 Riverside Street : Nashua, NH 03062 : Tel. 603-880-3005 : :::I/O-accelerated, very fast disk arrays for all SCSI systems to 1,000 GB::: As far as it stands today AT&T GIS offers a 6298 external disk array cabinet what will support up to 42 GIG of disk. RAID 5 is the level of choice out in these usually. Other raid boxes are in the offering for 95 but I am not sure if they will be giving raid 6 to them in their raid manager software. The Raidman would have to answer that one (: The RAID 7 level concept sounds pretty interesting and I used to be an AST (mylex 960) array man. Can you let us see your promo info on it....
