I haven't used GET DESCRIPTOR, SET DESCRIPTOR, ALLOCATE DESCRIPTOR, DEALLOCATE DESCRIPTOR in anguish -- sorry, anger -- but I would expect that a pointer to an actual loc_t structure should be used as the DATA element. Further, the loc_t structure would need to be initialised to handle blobs correctly. For more information on system descriptor areas, check chapter 6 of Informix Guide to SQL Reference (Dec 1991). For information on blob handling, check chapter 6 of Informix-ESQL/C Programmer's Manual (Version 5.00). Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
