ESQL/C needs crypt libs?

Hi all, we just installed Online 7, ESQL/C 7 and ISQL on SCO Open Desktop. The server and ISQL seem to work fine, but the esql script tells us to install the "crypt" libraries first. (Of course, they are _not_ included with SCO...) Does anybody here know what these libraries are really needed for, or whether one can get along without them just the same? Thanks Carsten
