Marc... It's not a problem! I just did a cold restore last weekend so I knew it. When you do a cold restore, ODS looks for the device you assigned to TAPEDEV for physical restore. Once the physical restore finishes, ODS will give you a chance to roll forward the logical logs from the device you assigned to LTAPEDEV. Both TAPEDEV and LTAPEDEV are parameters in the ONCONFIG file. Hope this help and hope you never have to use it! Andy
