Re: Kill sqlexec and fglgo process.

I received a mail from Jonathan Leffler at Informix about this problem! He states as follows: It's a bug -- the code that reads the keyboard was ignoring the return value from a read(2) system call (I cringe to think who wrote that. Not me; it pre-dates me by a good few years.) It has been fixed in more recent versions. I think 4.13/6.01, but maybe 4.14/6.02. In article <820667670snz@excelsis.demon.co.uk> I wrote: > > We have had problems where users simply turn off their PCs (connected > via TCP/IP) and their 'fglgo' processes don't die - they turn into > 'rogues' and eat up processor time like there's about to be a famine > (which there promptly is!). Is this caused by a bug in Informix, or > in the networks?
