Moving IDS 10 from PA-RISC to Itanium

Hi I am trying to restore a full HP Data Protector 6.1 backup of an IDS 10.00.FC9 database on a PA-RISC server running HP-UX 11i v1 to the same informix version on an Itanium server running HP-UX 11i v3. Any idea what might be wrong? I am hoping to to have to resort to dbexport/dbimport. Thanks

I have just had a chance to try restoring to another PA-RISC system and had the same error, so not an Itanium related problem.

Hi, is the same version of sm_versions file on all servers ? It in $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory also, have you copy the bar.XXX file in $INFORMIXDIR/etc on new server ? I don't remember any more for the exact name. XXX corresponds to SERVERNUM of instance you want to restore. Please keep me inform about it if you have any question further. Regards, Abdallah
