We use all the obvious Unix tools also,
but what I meant about batch languages was,
is anybody using something other than 4gl or esql/c
to handle batch applications like bulk updating, deleting,
inserting, etc.
On MVS mainframes for example, most people use Cobol,
and although it gets alot of bad mouthing from Unix
biggots, the "data processing" throughput dwarfs that
of most Unix box's.
I just wanted to know if there are any other sql embedded
products out there that can work with Informix directly
on the server, besides those from Informix.
