Hi all, Does anyone can advice me how I can query sysmaster database to get "set lock mode to wait" values for all my user sessions? I need a report of them. Thanks for your help Regards
Try: sysmaster:sysrstcb.lktout
select x0.sid, x0.pid, x0.uid, x0.hostname, x1.lktout
from sysscblst x0 ,sysrstcb x1
where ((x0.address = x1.scb ) AND (bitval(x1.flags ,'0x80000')= 1 ) );

Paulo,
The sql below will definitely show you the values for the sessions that are
currently
waiting, but will not show you the current lock mode value ("set lock mode
to wait X")
for each session. If that is what you are looking for, you can try the
following sql:
select scb_sessionid, scb_lockmode from sysmaster:syssqscb;
The value for scb_lockmode can be:
-1 wait
0 not wait
# of secs to wait
As with all sysmaster queries, check to insure that this table/columns
exist in your
version of the product (test was run against IDS 10.00.xC4 and 7.31.xD7).
Thank you,

Thanks all for your help. I was looking for "set lock mode" values established by every session. This last response was what I was looking for, but i have a question: is Art's response oriented to find sessions using locking time out in the way that INFORMIX attends them ?
Paulo, Art's sql will show the lock timeout value for sessions that are currently waiting. My sql will show the value for "set lock mode to wait" that is currently set, not established (it can change during the life of the session). Also, when replying to an IIUG post, you should include the history so that all can follow the line of thought that occurs.
