I confirmed that the policy was for real (to my knowledge), and I gave a couple of examples why. Given that you've been able to work around the problem, how does this prevent you from continuing your evaluation? >I am further confused about how in the >world did you figure out the company I work for is a small >one. I sure did not mention it in the mail. I didn't figure that out, nor is that fact material to this discussion. My point is that, as a development eval, your likely purpose is to prove concept; you're not rolling out something for a hundred sites or a thousand users with an eval copy (or you're in trouble [-:). "Small business is the biggest business going", as they say. Returning to my original point: Wouldn't you prefer that, assuming you do buy the product and go to rollout in six months or whatever, 5.01 be available (including this fix) rather than having a 5.00.UDblah with just a few fixes? >Tony Chang email: tony@cwi.com or uunet!cwi!tony >CaseWare, Inc. phone: (714) 453-2200 ext. 241 -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland "I'd quit my job, if I had one and I'd leave my wife, if she hadn't already gone..." -- Trout Fishing in America
