Hi
Is it possible to restore a single database using onbar or is it the
complete instance ?

It depends.
If your database is located in a single dbspace or it is
located in multiple dbspaces and there are no tables from
other databases located in these dbspaces, you could restore
just them. So this would be a database restore.
However you will not be able to perform a point-in-time recovery
on individual dbspaces. Point-In-Time Recovery is only allowed
on the whole instance.
You might think about creating separate instances for your
databases, but this will also increase the administration
overhead.

And if this is the case, then ontape can do this as well.
