As we know, gets the database blocked if logical logfiles become full and
nothing else than a restore can help.
When you do a restore you'll normally be asked to backup the current log
files.
My questions:
a) Is that even true, if you have to restore, because the locical
log files are all full.
b) If answer to previos questin is yes, is it possible to
roll it forward at restore time?
c) Do you have to set LTAPEDEV to /dev/null, if you only have one
single tape, at restore time, or does Informix no logical log in
recovery mode?
Hope anybody is experienced that way
thanks in advance
Erwin
