No, hence the error.
You can, however, hide the field on another, otherwise undisplayed screen,
and use that. See the answer to Exercise 11.1 on p289-297 in my book,
"Using Informix-SQL" (Addison-Wesley, 1991, ISBN 0-201-56509) for an
example of this technique, though that doesn't actually use custom Perform.
