ESQL/C question

Hi I am trying to fetch a Decimal(16,4) field into Some_variable with Indicator. I am getting error -1223 Ex: Fetch sel_cur into :x indicator :y In C, what type should x (double, float, int etc ????) be ? Can I use Indicator variables for decimal fields ? Thanks for your help.
