I assume this is for ad hoc work (not something made for users) in
which case it's prety easy to modify the actual statement. Either use
Modify or Use editor to do that.
Of course that is a little more tedious if you want to run a lot of
statements with different values.
The best solution is however to do it all from your MS Windows PC (you
do have one, don't you?) and use MS Access. There you have such
prompting facilities and a lot of other options lacking in dbaccess.
Much better tool for ad hoc querying of databases.
