Re: ODBC drivers

Let me see if I can explain this again. Win95 running 32 bit app using INTERSOLV Informix Driver Requires 32 Bit I-NET 32 Bit Windows 95 driver (just released in the last couple of weeks). Win95 running 16 bit app using INTERSOLV Informix Driver Requires 16 Bit I-NET 16 Bit Intersolv Informix Driver. 16 Bit Apps CAN NOT use the 32 bit drivers on WIN95. 32 Bit Apps CAN NOT use the 16 bit drivers on WIN95. 16 Bit Apps CAN use the 32 bit drivers on Windows NT. 32 Bit Apps CAN NOT use 16 bit drivers on Windows NT. 32 Bit Apps CAN use 16 bit drivers ONLY on WIN32S. So as you can see there are no 32 bit platforms on which a 32 bit app can use a 16 bit driver. I HAVE NOT FOUND A WAY TO GET 32 Bit and 16 BIT I-NET TO EXIST ON THE SAME WIN95 MACHINE. This is the primary problem I have been unable to resolve. So figure out if you are using 16 or 32 bit apps and then get the approp. drivers. By the way if you run NT (probably not an option) this is not a problem since 16 bit apps can use 32 bit drivers. > Hi, > > I'm running Windows 95 and need some ODBC drivers to access an informix > database. You need a 32 bit version of I-NET which is available. >Anyone know any different? >Thanks Ray Kaminski Senior Software Engineer Bi-Tech Software This message brought to you by the letter K and the number 9. .
