Thanks, but I don't think so. For one, on the 9.4 box, I don't get a 127, yet the file permissions on ixbar.servernum are the same as on the 10 box where I do get the 127. The perms are 660 informix:informix, and the onbar is running in root's cron. Also, I noticed you mentioned an ixbar_hostname.servernum file. I don't have one of those. Mine are just ixbar.servernum.
