Sven Just make sure some of the following items : 1. Check to see whether you could telnet to the server from the client. 2. Have you started the server agent in the server ? "startsa" command 3. Have you configured your INFORMIX SETNET 32 from the client side ? Make sure that the INFORMIXSQLHOSTS is set properly. INFORMIXDIR is pointing to the local informix directory , say C:\\informix in my case. Make other appropriate setting and Get into ilogin demo to test it. Remember that your local registry entry is made by INFORMIX SETNET utility. May be others can add to this check list. Best of luck, Hari Handelsbanken, New york. The connection with SQL Editor and dbaccess is working fine but the IECC console starts with the message "Server discovery failed". The connection with our development tool Centura doesn't work, too.
