At ftp.sco.com (or via http://www.sco.com). It's probably a good idea if you start by installing these and check for all other patches you may need. There is information at the above adresses. Most other patches are related to special hardware, but even without that there may be some you need. If you don't even have the rs500d I would definitely expect all kinds of problems. Depending on when you bought your OS it may be included, and no I don't know how to check that. You might also want to think about an upgrade to SCO 5.0.2 which includes the rs500d and net100 patches (not oss499a) and have more support for internationalization and some other features. SCO says that 5.0.2 is not an upgrade but only a special version with extra language support (french and german I think). Appart from this it's supposed to be the same as 5.0.0 with all patches installed. From what I have seen this isn't entirely true, but I no longer remember the difference, only that I saw something some time ago that I thought important. The problem with an "upgrade" to 5.0.2 is that you have to do a fresh install. You can't simply upgrade from 5.0.0. A good place to ask SCO related questions if you have problems is in comp.unix.sco.misc Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
