Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi,
For several customers I'm implementing Informix databases under NT4.0.
The customers
have DLT tape units and are now using ontape. We are thinking on using
on bar. The problem is that we don't want to claim te tape -unit all of
the time. Therefore I have a few questions.
1. Should I use logical log backup to disk or no logical log backup at
all. (ie serial onbar)
2. Is it possible to schedule the backup, if so: how, with what tool.
Many thanks,
Rob Prop
