problem deleting 31697 records in SE 7.13.UC1

hello, Did I miss something, or is it really impossible to delete a large number of records in a single table (eg. 30 000 or 60 000)? Could perhaps somebody tell me anything about a known upper limit ? (temp space is about 17Mb free, data space more than 170Mb free, which should also enable the logfile to grow a bit) thank you very much in advance Andreas Stern
