You could do something like this. LET invalid_resp = TRUE WHILE invalid_resp PROMPT "Enter Catalogue number: " FOR catelog_num IF catelog_num MATCHES "[1234567890]*" THEN LET invalid_resp = FALSE END IF END WHILE And put whatever you want them to enter in the matches part of the IF statement.
