Re: Client SDK Compatibility

CSDK 2.70 is I believe more than 6 years old product! Though in its all possibilities it *should* work with IDS 11.5. However I am not sure if you will get adequate support in case you face any issue(s). Is there any reason you don't want to upgrade CSDK to 3.50 (which is released/certified with 11.5) as well? -Shesh "Habichtsberg, Reinhard" <RHabichtsberg@arz-emmendingen.de> Sent by: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org 06/03/2009 15:22 To "Informix-List (E-Mail)" <informix-list@iiug.org> cc Subject Client SDK Compatibility hi all we are on the way from IDS 9.40 to 11.5. There will be much questions to ask and I hope it will not be bothersome. Today's second question is: Which versions of CSDK esp. the runtime libraries can be used with IDS 11.5. For example: Is it possible to use INFORMIX-Client SDK Version 2.70.FC3 (64 Bit) with IDS11.5FCx. Or could even the runtime library of INFORMIX-Client SDK Version 2.70.UC3 (32-Bit) which we have installed in parallel used with IDS11.5FCx? Backgrond is that we have application which don't care for the IDS-version but for the version of the runtime-libraries. One example is the DataDirect Sequelink Server for ODBC which uses the 32-bit library against the 64-Bit IDS 9.40FC9W2. Could this szenario possibly work against IDS 11.5FCx. OS is Solaris 9 or 10? TIA Reinhard. _______________________________________________ Informix-list mailing list Informix-list@iiug.org http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list
