Has anyone re-written CONSTRUCT as an INFORMIX 4gl function? I want to be able to do things in the middle of the user entering the QBE info. (such as ON KEY, or "If he is looking for a value like `this', call `that' function and plug in the value it returns") and I can't do anything, 'cos CONSTRUCT is just one single command, with no way in. I'll probably do it myself if no-one else has but since I'm already looking for a re-invented wheel, there is no point in re-re-inventing it :-) Andrew PS: it's not much good if the CONSTRUCT is a C function, 'cos I want to be able to call 4gl functions. PPS: Yes, I do know how to have a C function call a 4GL function, but it doesn't work in RDS. (everyone else knows this, don't they?) -- Automatic Disclaimer: The views expressed above are those of the author alone and may not represent the views of the IBM PC User Group. --
