IDS 9.4 compatability matrix?

Hi everyone. Does Informix have such a thing as a compatability matrix for their various Informix engines along the lines of the Oracle compatability matrix? I will be doing an IDS 9.4 FC9 install and also need to install Client SDK but having a hard time finding how to determine compatability. Thanks
That's because all Informix branded products are fully backward compatible to all prior releases. You can safely install the latest Client SDK, or any other release since the one that was released with 9.40 (IB that was CSDK v2.81) and it will work just fine. Indeed, CSDK v3.50xC2 (the latest IB) will work with engines IDS all the way back to 7.10, DS 6.01, OnLine 5.xx back to 5.01, and SE going all the way back. Art. Thanks again. Do the Informix client/dev products (such as Client SDK, 4GL, ISQL) have specific install guides or notes? Also, with the engine itself basically in order to install it there is essentially one script per engine type---is that correct? IE: ./installIDS would essentally do ALL of the Informix IDS install work? That would be after setting INFORMIXDIR of course.
Yes, a single script installIDS, install_IDS, or install_server depending on version. Since 11.10 the install script also installs the CSDK unless you tell it not to IB. In the release directory tree (down a few levels) are the release notes and install manual, but you can download the version specific install manuals from the IBM/Informix web site in the library.
