NCR/Teradata or Sun/Informix For A Warehouse?

We are looking to build a data warehouse. We have short listed two systems: NCR5100/Teradata & Sun Ultra 6000(Clustered)/Informix XPS. I would appreciate any comments and experience dealing with these systems, companies, etc. We are looking at 1TB within 18 months, 500G right off the bat.
