I went through that gyration some time back and the stuff that Michael Kuhn supplied was helpful. Since then I have discovered a barcode printer that is quite effective for us. The reason we had tried the dot matrix was because there didn't seem to be a simple product that would let us drive it from 4gl runing in Unix ( AIX).
