Not able to connect to IDS

I
upgrading a Unix box (HP-UX 10.20 --> 11.0). During upgrade of Unix OS we
lost the temporory dbspace, and now I can't connect to the server.
After oninit I get the message that the temp.dbspace is not OK, the server
goes online. But it's impossible to start onmonitor, connct with dbaccess
or any other "on-utility". I thought I could start the server, then drop
the bad dbspace and then create a new one, but it's not possible when I
cant start onmonitor or onspaces.
Is there any way to get rid of that temp dbspace - I'm not interested in of
it.
Is the bad dbspace the problem for connection?

Bad temp spaces are not normally a critical problem, and you can use onmonitor
to
drop them.
Are you sure the engine is on-line? What does 'onstat - ' show ?
Have a look in the last lines of the online log and see if there are any
other problems shown there.

Running
'oninit' with the '-v' argument allows you to see what's happening
as the engine comes up. I've not know the lack of temp dbspaces to prevent
the engine coming up.
