Hi John, The explanation for your problem is quite simple. AIX (starting from 4.2) supports files larger than 2GB in a Large JFS. But to use files larger than 2 GB, also the application (in your case Informix DS) must have been compiled with that option (and this version of Informix is not). All "old" programs (e.g. programs compiled in AIX 4.1) or such compiled without the "large file flag" set, can only use 2 GB at maximum and give an error if you try to go beyond that boundary.
