Adding a Chunk

I was wondering, when you add a chunk to a dbspace that is already using part of the raw device and need to specify an offset is the offset expressed in pages or kilobytes? Thanks
The rule of thumb is: when talking to the OS use KB when talking to the engine use pages. So use KB when adding a chunk -----Original Message----- From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of joe.connolly@gmail.com Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2007 7:31 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Adding a Chunk I was wondering, when you add a chunk to a dbspace that is already using part of the raw device and need to specify an offset is the offset expressed in pages or kilobytes? Hi,
kilobytes.
The general rule is:
- input is in kilobytes (for commands and in onconfig file),
- output (e.g. onstat) is in pages.
